The process of refinishing wood floors is to sand down the hardwood to raw wood, removing the existing finish and sating. We use a statue of the art dust containment to help aid in a more dustless atmosphere for our workers and our homeowners. This makes it an easier cleanup for our crew and less airborne dust for our homeowners.
After the sanding is complete, the stain color is applied to a small area to ensure that your wood is properly taking the stain and color as you want it. Then your choice of finish is applied. You can choose a high gloss, semi-gloss, or satin finish.
The last step is applying the finish. This gives the floors a great appearance and protection.
Usually, 2-3 coats are needed for adequate protection. You can choose oil-based or water-based.
